Grocery stores grow, online keeps on declining

The normalisation of the online grocery retailing continues in Sweden as the online channel represented 4,5% of all groceries in April.

Online sales have declined for the last seven months, because of the unprecedented comparison numbers from the pandemic peak. Especially steep decline has been for the Click & Collect market, which has dropped 3,9% (4/2021) of all retailing to 2,1% in 4/2022.

At the same time as the online revenues decline, stores have flourished. Because of the timing of the Easter, stores grew in April by +10%.
