Online grocery 5,1% of the market in Sweden
Online grocery declines by -22% from last year after exceptionally tough comparison numbers. Despite the drop, online keeps on taking share of the market. In November online represented 5,1% of all grocery spend in Sweden.
This development of declining comparable sales will continue as the coming months will have very tough comparison numbers from the year before. A year ago online grocery sales started to increase rapidly and very 6,5% of all groceries in November 2020. The share of groceries peaked during last March when it reached 7,7%.
